Plans for October04

Alright... I think I did quite well in the Eval Research mid exam... I'll know the result this coming Tuesday. For this class, I have to prepare pre-proposal for my evaluation project. I will present my logic model, evaluation measures, and connection with evaluation questions. My project's evaluand is the healthcare financing system in Jembrana, Bali, Indonesia (this regency just established its own social health insurance). Though we are not going to do the real evaluation work *only the research proposal*, I really look forward to finalize this interesting project. This is the kind of work that I will actually do in the near future.

Then on Oct's first Wednesday, I will have Epidemiology mid exam. It won't be that hard. It's gonna be open book. Basically, the test is an exercise on how we are supposed to do descriptive epidemiology on certain outbreaks. I will organize and summarize my notes this weekend.

Two weeks from now.... the last mid term exam: Economics of State and Local Public Sectors. This is going to be tough, as I don't feel comfortable about the subject (I wish I had dropped this class after the first meeting). Fortunately, Agus Tony Poputra lent me the previous exams and the professor will post sample exams on his website early next week. Also, Riatu and Renata are in class with me, so I can discuss any difficulties with these gals.
After that, we will have to submit our second writing assignment. I want to do better for this one. We have to provide rationales on how to finance the school system due to the replacement of local property tax; whether to utilize local sales tax or local income tax. I should start browsing articles on this matter, so I can write good paper on the efficiency, equity, and administrative aspects of this change in public sector financing.

And.... I have to order additional score report of GRE and official transcript from GSU. I will do the best to prepare my doctoral applications. UW Seattle's deadline for international students is Nov. 1. Gotta work fast! Hmm... I hope Mami and Papa will soon send the documents.

October will be the month for Getar to present himself as a STAR STUDENT at school. I don't know how it will work, let's see. On the 11th, we will have a little meeting with his teacher. It's gonna be a short session about how Getar is doing in school.

Talking about the 11th of October.....WHOAA.... I just remember....It's going to be our anniversary!!!!! WE ARE GOING TO CELEBRATE OUR 6-YR OF MARRIAGE!!!! It will be a great momentum for both of Abdes and me, after all the things that we have been through together.... after all the ups and downs.... after all my foolish mistakes.
Alhamdulilah, our love still bond us together, as tight as ever, and I hope it's forever.
