Wednesday, July 10 is the first local election in Bali where we have to choose our Governor (paired with the Vice Governor). Interestingly it is a democracy learning of our people. Though the channel and methods are simple (such as billboard placement, flyer distribution, public debate on their visions and programs), the candidates were properly portrayed as how they are. Well, as we are still in the first grade of elementary school in democracy, the quick count of today's election(IMHO) has not yet showcased that the Balinese are in the state of demanding progression. My people are still eaten by the political figure, not fully digesting the programs of Governor candidates. Anyhow, as I said, this is democracy learning. We are still learning. Learning does not automatically lead to brightness.
Mangku Pastika - Puspayoga, the quick count has noted that they are in number one position. Detailed counting will be finished on July 21. I look forward to your Administration that will lead to better and more prosperous Bali.
