Does anybody want to get dumped? Nooooo waaay....
Does anybody want to be rejected..... for something better, or even the best? Yeessss.....
I was rejected TWICE for AusAID scholarship for master study in the Oz. Gee... I felt so hurt! Then, I took my energy back, prepare for another scholarship application, waited for one year, booom.... I was on AmericanAirlines flight to Atlanta! The best scholarship, for its competition and well-known alumns, awarded me for my Master degree in the US! Fulbright!!! I had been dreaming that I would live and study in the country which independence day is the same as my b'day!
A friend of mine *yes, always talking about my friend. This time, it's a she. DCJ*, got dumped by her long steady boyfriend. They almost got married! When she went to Hawaii, the man found another girl back home in Indo, only after 6 months!!! Boy, ain't life sucks? Hold on... Life may seem so horrible, yet you just have to wait for a sec, to realize that apparently LIFE IS SO BEAUTIFUL! My friend then met an American man, fell in love...and now, they live happily in Colorado. She got her green card, enjoy her work, and very enthusiastic to go for her Master next summer.
Morale of the story.... if you are dumped by something or someone you thought was so wonderful, don't feel sorry for yourself. Sure, tears are allowed to fall! It's a wake up call! Get ready for something really, really terrific... out there... somewhere...
Quoting Carl Sagan (an astronomer, founder and the first president of The Planetary Society):
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
ps:
I should be ready for any rejections with regard to my PhD applications :)
