Blame it on the massive news on Tsunami in our home country and others in Asia, also on the ugly weather, flood, mud slide in California. Blame it on parents, who let kids watch news.
My toddler son was shocked seeing such disaster on tivi. He constantly asked me what that was, why that happened, and ten other whys to my answers. I told him about earthquake, twister, flood, fire, and other bad events.
"Oh, Indonesia is not safe anymore!" he shouted.
"No, darling. It is still safe. We just don't know when such disaster come to our place. It can happen anywhere on earth."
"Can happen in America?" he asked.
"Well, sure. Only Allah knows."
We took him to the happiest place on earth. We took him to an imagination journey to the most horrible events on earth. Don't know if that's good or not.
We just want him to know the reality and be ready to encounter any of them. We want him to fight, survive, and suceed.
