Badminton Week

This week is Badminton Week, as Indonesia is currently hosting the 2008 Thomas Cup & Uber Cup. I watched almost every evening as it is broadcasted by Trans. I am being a bit proud of the women team. They're quite good so far. However, I shouldn't be too excited as Indonesian Uber Cup team has not met the tough Chinese!

Well, Badminton or bulutangkis as we commonly say it in Indonesia, is a very popular sport in rural and urban areas. I think this is the only sport that Indonesian has been victorious at. This sport provided our first gold medal in the Olympic game!!! At first, my favorite player was Mr. Taufik Hidayat. Hopefully he and his team, also the women team, can bring victory for the Indonesian people. Please make us proud....
