I fulfilled my right and obligation as a citizen of Indonesia. I voted in the legislative election. It was quite complicated, receiving four sets of papers, choosing the one to represent me in the legislative. Those outdoor signboards that surrounded Denpasar for months actually did not affect me. I chosen the one that I really know have tracks in the politic.
Checking the evening news, I was quite thrilled to know the top party.
Well, this happens once in five year. (There will be a president election in few months.) We have to do something to make sure that citizens are well represented in the legislative. The democrazy (yes, it is spelled with 'z') in Indonesia is for sure still in the beginning of a learning curve. Actually I am quite ashamed that there are a lot of my friends who think they're too cool to vote.
At least I care to vote. Not that I think I understand politic. It is just a way to show that I care my country. That's the least I can do for Indonesia for now.
